Helene Strange Bengtsson, PT, DPT, OCS, WCS
Helene graduated from Ithaca College in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Studies and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016. She started her career in orthopaedics, where she found a special interest in spine, hip and pelvic conditions. In 2018, she became a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).
Helene began taking coursework through the American Physical Therapy Academy in pelvic health is now an ABPTS board-certified women’s health clinical specialist. She applies a holistic approach to treatment, due to her background in orthopaedics, manual therapy and Pilates. Her treatment style includes advanced manual therapy techniques, education and movement strategies to help patients achieve successful outcomes. Helene is currently a member of the Pelvic Health Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy and the American Urogynecology Society. She enjoys educating other advanced practitioners through these platforms to spread knowledge about pelvic health. Helene’s interests are in musculoskeletal disorders, pelvic pain, sexual function, neural entrapments, incontinence, bowel and bladder disorders, and post-partum care. Return to Meet Our Team page |
